Post-Operative Physiotherapy
Post-Operative Physiotherapy
After having your surgery physiotherapy is crucial in allowing you to regain full range of movement, full strength and reduce pain.
At Physio Ready our physiotherapists are highly knowledgeable in the orthopaedic field and have undertaken extensive training to come up with post-operative physiotherapy protocols to help you get back to full fitness. We will collaborate with your surgeon to make sure that you are making progress and hitting your goals.
Our goal is to help you and motivate you to stick to post-operative goals and adhere to post-operative protocols.
Common surgeries we provide post-operative physiotherapy services are:
- ACL reconstructions
- Knee replacements
- Shoulder reconstructions
- Rotator cuff repairs
- Knee arthroscopy
- Spinal surgeries and many more
What is involved in Post-operative physiotherapy?
Our physiotherapists will use a range of modalities to help you get moving and reduce your pain. This may include soft tissue massage, LIPUS, taping and simple range of motion exercises. Once pain and swelling settles our physiotherapists will move to a more exercise-based treatment where we focus on regaining strength, range of movement and function that you may have lost because of the surgery while controlling issues of pain or swelling.
